Retail Rate Increase

To: PWSD No. 2 Cass County Retail Water Patrons:
Whereas, at the September 10, 2024, monthly board meeting, the Board of Directors considered and unanimously agreed to pass on the annual rate increase from KCMO Water Services Department, and to a 8.5% rate increase to retail patrons. The 8.5% rate increase is to cover the increase from KCMO, and is required to fund annual replacement projects. Retail rates have not been increased since October 1, 2022. This increase will become effective with any and all billings as of October 1, 2024. For an average bill of 5,000 gallons, the revised rates would increase the monthly bill by $6.51 for a total annual increase of approximately $82.85. See below for the proposed rate structure.
